Well well well, what do we have here?
That's right guys and gals, Clan Kill Yourself has a new website! We've pulled away from the Battlefield HQ theme (although we still come under it's main website) and gone for a retro look that some of our long standing members may recognise.
Some of you may be wondering what the hell I'm on about there so i'll let you in on a little secret. Back when Clan Kill Yourself was called Vipers House, our website looked very similar to how it does now, take a look...
We've gone for the look to try and establish the clan's identity further, I hope you like it

I have once again been performing work on the Clan Kill Yourself website. Only minor changes this time. The only major change you will notice is the true url of the clan website.
To more integrate TeamCKY with BFHQ (and to save me money not having to purchase seperate IP.Board/IP.Content licenses just for the clan site) the clan website has been moved to www.battlefieldhq.co.uk/clan or www.bfhq.co.uk/clan
However don't fret! Once I have completed the move (just a few more bits and bobs to sort) the TeamCKY domain names (www.clankillyourself.co.uk and www.teamcky.co.uk) will be reconfigured to point to the new clan website location.
Some of you may have though this was an inevitable move after I integrated the clan forums with the BFHQ ones, what's left to say other than your thoughts were correct!
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Server - Upgrades

We have once again raised the amount of slots on our server. As of yesterday we jumped from a 24-slot Battlefield: Bad Company 2 server to a 32-slot Battlefield: Bad Company 2 server. This once again adds another 8 free slots to our server's capacity meaning bigger teams and more squads.
This is an exciting time for us so help us celebrate by joining our BFBC2 server now!

Well guys as you can see i've made a few updates to the website. We're now officially running on Invision Powers IP.Content which makes it easier for me to manage/update the website. The flash slideshow which has been on previous incarnations of the website has made a bigger and better return, and now is only displayed on the homepage. The adverts have also made a return to the website, hopefully this will bring in some revenue to help cover server costs, we may even get lucky enough to get more gameservers if we raise enough monthly.
I will soon be adding a Donate by PayPal button on the website, again to raise revenue to cover server costs, the choice of whether you donate or not is however yours and we will not force anyone to do so.
The website layout has also had a few tweaks and optimisations, and is currently an ongoing process. The site navigation has also been jigged about and I have introduced a new section named "Guides" which I hope to develop into a wiki style area full of articles at some point with actual useful info. To start it off I have already added a "BFBC2 PC Optimisation Guide" detailing what settings you can tweak to get the best out of the game.

- BFBC2 Server Upgraded and New Rules

Due to the popularity of our Battlefield: Bad Company 2 server I have increased the amount of slots on the server from 16 to 24. This gives us an extra 8 slots to play with, now allowing upto 3 four man squads per team.
Due to behaviour on the server I have had to implement some new rules on the server, these are...
- Absolutely no base raping!
- No stealing enemy vehicles (especially helicopters)
- Keep the teams balanced!
Anyone ignoring these rules will be warned, repeat offenders will be kicked or banned.
I am also looking at the possibility of removing Laguna Presa from the map rotation as the map is way too small, which in turn means the US wins every round (because of the location of their base). Any comments or oppinions on this are greatly appreciated.
